Loooooong time mythbusters fan here, though since i started dating my bf a year and a half ago, i got BACK into it after a short hiatus because my bf's house  had cable! (we ditched it  because we didn't wanna pay for it)...when we ditched cable, i was so very sad...because all my favorite shows...mythbusters included...would be taken away from me!

but i have to say, going over to my bf's house to watch mythbusters via tivo, is AWESOME...and it makes it MORE so when we cuddle on the couch and share laughs at Adam's full cracked insanity. that, or watching sneezes in slow motion is just utterly hilarious. Add some food coloring...EPIC!

i dunno man, there is just something awe inspiring about watching shit blow up! I can't believe i never got into this show when it FIRST aired! i got into it like..around season 2 or 3...so there is TONS of season 1 i have NOT seen, as well as 2 and 3 and maybe 4? because i didn't get into it religiously until about 2 years ago...

I just wanted to introduce myself as another fan and to say that this comm is awesome for being here! So tell me guys, how did YOU get into mythbusters?!

The commercial where Jamie uttered the magic words, "Jamie want big boom".

Of course! :D

Nice to meet you!

I heard a commercial for it on the radio waaaaay back either near the end of season 1 or the very beginning of season 2. The commercial billed it as being about debunking urban legends, and I was on a huge urban legend kick at the time, so I made a note to watch it and was hooked from the start. It's so strange to think how many years have gone by since I started watching it! xD

I was just channel-flipping and came across something that looked interesting and watched the rest of it, and the rest is history. it was the "walking vs. running in the rain" episode. I was so impressed with how technical and detailed they got as far as coloring the rain and weighing the clothing before and after all that.
